Undergraduate Academics

Trinity College of Arts & Sciences is Duke’s liberal arts undergraduate college. Our students choose from more than 40 majors and minors and more than 20 interdisciplinary certificates.

From the moment they arrive at Duke, Trinity undergraduates are able to engage in original research under the guidance of our world-class faculty and in collaboration with graduate students, developing the intellectual skills essential for success in our information-intensive world.

Learning at Duke extends beyond the classroom. Our students participate in community service projects from Durham to New Orleans to Kenya. They study abroad for a semester or a year in Africa, China, Europe, and Latin America, among other locations.

Our goal is to provide students with a rewarding four years of intellectual and personal growth so that they can develop the habits of mind and heart that enable a rewarding and meaningful life and so that they can make a positive difference in the world.
