Academic Advising

Trinity College provides a multilayered advising system for students, which includes a primary academic advisor, academic deans, and specialists who assist in the preparation for study abroad experiences, internships and careers, and graduate and professional school. The overall goals of Trinity’s advising system are to help students formulate an academic plan that complements their strengths and interests and to encourage them to take advantage of the numerous opportunities for learning, intellectual engagement and service that are available to Duke undergraduates. Advising in Trinity is a dynamic process, where both students and advisors work together to devise a program of study and experiences that are consistent with each student’s short- and long-term goals.
