On behalf of the advising community, I extend a warm welcome to Duke. From the moment you join us at Duke, our network of advisors welcomes you to Duke's community of scholars and facilitates a deepening engagement with academic life.
You should now have in hand, or soon receive in the mail, the Class of 2017 Blue Book. If you haven't but want to get started reading it, download the pdf version on this page. Read it carefully and think about questions you have that pertain to the Learning at Duke and Registration sections.
Beginning on 1 June and throughout the summer, you can call or email our office to speak with an academic dean or global advisor before registering for fall semester classes. You can also learn about Trinity College academics from our peer advisors via the Class of 2017 Facebook page. Once you arrive to campus for orientation, you'll meet individually with your academic advisor. Soon after fall classes begin, we encourage you to get to know our Directors of Academic Engagement.
The advising community is large and diverse, and we look forward to meeting you and working with you throughout your time here. Again, welcome!
Warmest regards,
ElizaBeth Fox, PhD (G '98)
Director of the Academic Advising Center and Associate Dean of Trinity College
