Editorships Policy
A&S will provide journal editors with a research fund during the years of their
editorship in lieu of course relief. Chairs will be encouraged not to offer course relief for
these duties. The research funds will range from $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the
demands of the journal and on the other support provided the editor.
Normally associate editors will receive no financial support from the deans. In
exceptional cases, this general rule may be waived after a thorough review of the
associate editorship’s demands by the dean.
