Faculty wishing to offer a freshman Seminar should first notify Dean Norman Keul of their interest by filling out the General Information Form in Step 1 below. Before submitting the form you must obtain the approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Department Chair for the course content and the proposed compensation terms. Note that the biographical information requested is intended solely for use in publicizing the seminar.
Secondly, submit a course proposal to the Courses Committee for approval via the online Special Topics Request Form, accessed from the link in Step 2 below.
Note: This two-step application process must be completed each time a First-year Seminar is offered, including repeats of the same topic .
