Research Description
Raph C. Chénier is a Ph.D. student in the Sociology department at Duke University. His research focuses on consumption and social stratification, with a focus on the contemporary United States. He is currently working on a paper (with Lisa Keister and Joshua Fink) dealing with racial and ethnic differences in access to consumption in the US, and on a paper on the impact of the recent financial crisis on the material well-being of American families.
