Research Description
My research focuses on the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases. I use a combination of mathematical and statistical approaches to understand the processes driving the outbreak dynamics of pathogens. These processes include extrinsic factors, such as climate variability, and intrinsic factors, such as immune escape. Current projects focus on rapidly-evolving viral pathogens, including influenza and dengue.
