The Office of Prebusiness Advising serves students and alumni of Trinity College and the Pratt School of Engineering who are interested in graduate business school. The office provides comprehensive information to all students interested in learning more about graduate management education and assists them with academic planning as they explore business careers, as well as business school. In addition to its work with undergraduates, the office reaches Duke alumni, prospective applicants to Duke, the Duke community, and others.
Prebusiness peer mentors are a complement to the advising capacity of the office. The role of the prebiz peer mentors is to mentor first-year, sophomore, or junior students as they discover themselves and explore their business interests at Duke University. Mentors serve as conduits of information for students seeking experiential insight regarding unique opportunities offered at Duke. More specifically, student mentors use the knowledge acquired on their own student journey and through their own life experiences, to help other pre-business students make bold -- and sometimes not so bold -- decisions to engage and explore opportunities and challenges at Duke. As they complete their pre-business journey at Duke, students develop a broader perspective on their desired place in and future contribution to the world of business upon graduating. When their schedules allow, students also serve as student representatives on pre-business panels and at pre-business assemblies scheduled by the university. As you read their brief introductions of themselves, I am sure you will recognize common interests and desired experiences. Feel free to contact either one of them. They are waiting to hear from you!!!!!
