Video and Web Conferencing
Video Conferencing
Trinity Technology Services provides the following video conferencing equipment:
3 mobile, IP-based, Polycom video conferencing units
Installed units in French Sciences 2231, and in Seminar1, Group Study 11, and Classroom 5 of The Link.
With some advance planning, video conferencing can be arranged for any on-campus location that has a wired network connection. You can reserve video conferencing equipment and arrange technical support by calling Classroom Support at 660-3088 or by filling out the Multimedia Request Form. Be prepared to provide the following:
- a minimum of one week's notice prior to the event date
- the date and Duke location of the conference
- the location of the remote site (we are only equipped to connect to a single remote site)
- names and contact information for the person hosting the conference and technical staff at the remote site
If the remote location of the conference is not equipped with video-conferencing equipment (specifically, a local codec) a web conference can generally be arranged instead. See below.
