Transferring to/from Pratt School of Engineering

Policy

After completing one semester in the college or school in which you matriculated, Trinity College and Pratt School of Engineering students may apply to transfer between the two schools.

Until your transfer has been approved, you must complete all applicable academic requirements of your original college or school. See the Trinity-to-Pratt website for more details.

Procedure

Complete step-by-step instructions for applying to transfer between Trinity and Pratt – including application deadlines – are available on the Trinity-Pratt Transfer website. Please read the instructions very carefully, since incomplete applications will not be accepted. Preparing an application can take more than a week, so plan ahead.

Whether you are currently a Trinity or Pratt student, you will continue to be advised -- and your eligibility to register enabled -- by your current academic advisor until your application to transfer to Pratt or Trinity has been approved.

If you are considering a transfer to Pratt and would like to speak someone before making the decision to apply to transfer, we encourage you to meet with Dean Lupita Temiquel-McMillian to be sure you are taking appropriate engineering courses.
