Reflections on Charleston – LIVE – Feb. 9th, 2016

Streamed live on February 9, 2016 from Duke University's Page Auditorium.

Emanuel AME Church was the site of the June 17, 2015 killing of nine members of a Bible study group at the oldest African Methodist Episcopal Church in the South at Charleston, SC. The hate crime launched a national conversation on faith and race. Mrs. Jennifer Pinckney will join members of the Duke community and the general public to house an important dialogue at "Reflections on Charleston."

This free event was part of the John Hope Franklin Afro-Diasporic Legacies Series, hosted by the Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke University.
