Over my time at Duke, I have participated in the Elections in a Pandemic Bass Connections, worked as a Polis Director's Fellow, and been a Political Engagement Project Fellow. The summer after my first year I did a Story+ project on women's involvement in the rural electrification efforts of mid-20th century America. Both summers since then I have participated in a Duke Engage program, first at a non-profit law firm focused on prisoner's rights, and then at a voting rights organization in DC. During my last year, I aim to complete a religious studies thesis on Zen Buddhism and Political Activism in America. Beyond academics, I have been involved in many political clubs on campus, I am a PWild staff member, and I am an avid basketball fan including tenting this past spring!
