Class of 2025
Interdepartmental Major in Biology & Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies; Minor in Chemistry

I am a current undergraduate senior on the pre-medical track pursuing an interdepartmental major in Biology and Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies. I am also a classical musician who has participated in Duke Chamber music for every semester of college, including the flagship Advanced Chamber Music cohort that pioneered the Duke/New England Conservatory exchange program in 2022. Outside of classes, I'm involved in two research projects: one being tobacco regulatory science at the Jordt Lab in the School of Medicine, through which I have presented my original research at two national NIH Tobacco Regulatory Science conferences, and the other being building an oral history archive to document abortion providers' experiences in a post-Dobbs healthcare landscape, which is through Duke Bass Connections. You can often catch me hanging out at the Women's Center hosting events and building an empowering femme-identifying community on campus!

Favorite Class: MUSIC 490S, Meeting the World Through Music (Advanced Chamber Music) was an absolutely enriching, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from renowned conservatory professors from the Borromeo Quartet at the New England Conservatory in Boston. I met my lifelong friends in this class, and we've played music together as the Larkspur Quartet every semester since. Two coaching a week and up to five hours of rehearsal a week allowed us to develop a strong quartet sound and bond which is unforgettable to me. Not to mention the high-level instruction we received from Ciompi Quartet members which we continue to take with us during each rehearsal and performance as a group.
