Majors in African & African American Studies and Political Science; Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship
I’m a senior double majoring in both African & African American Studies and Political Science. I’ve selected these majors to prepare me for a career in law as an attorney. At Duke, I am the president of the NAACP, a member of Duke Student Government, and an intern at a local law firm. In my free time, I love to run, scrapbook, read, and express my creativity through fashion.
Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke thus far has been Mass Incarceration with Dr. Lubiano. This is my favorite class because it’s allowed me to analyze the history of incarceration in America through a lens that focuses on both its impact on society as a whole and its more personal impact on each individual. It’s a class that’s shifted the way I perceive the reality of the American criminal justice system.
