Spring 2019

Wednesdays, 6:30-8PM, Keohane 4B 402SEM

Human-centered design (HCD) is a creative approach to problem solving, coined by the design firm IDEO. In this hands-on course, students will learn how to test ideas using HCD methodology and will become equipped to apply human-centered design principles to any challenges faced across different industries to design and develop incredible ideas. From ideation to handoff, this class will work through a flow similar to what happens in the real world. This class will apply the design and product-thinking skills learned for your own semester project. Students will leave the class equipped with a fundamental knowledge of design principles and a developed approach to solving problems using design thinking methods.
