Majors in Public Policy Studies and Education
I am studying Public Policy and pursuing a K-6 Teacher's Licensure through Duke's Education program. I hope to work toward education reform in the country. Outside of class, the highlight of my Duke experience has been studying abroad in Paraguay through DukeEngage. I also serve as a Resident Assistant (RA) for Craven Quad, a research assistant through the Duke Economics Analytics Laboratory, and the secretary for Duke's Nakisai African Dance Ensemble.
Favorite Class: My favorite classes at Duke were the courses I took through my Focus program in freshman year. I was a member of Knowledge in the Service of Society (KISS) Focus. I loved the topic, the seminar-style classes, service-learning, and the bonds that I grew with my professors and peers.
