Class of 2024
Biology Major with Concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology; Chemistry Minor

My name is Katherine, and I am a junior on the pre-medical track. Outside of the classroom, I work in a Duke lab studying the development of drug resistance in cancers, for which I was awarded the Duke Dean’s Summer Research Fellowship. I am also the President of the Biology Majors Union, a mentor for the Duke Undergrad Research Society and the Blue Devil Buddies program, and a peer tutor for Molecular Biology and Genetics/Evolution. In my free time, I enjoy watching Duke basketball, playing piano, working out, and reading. After undergrad, I plan on going to medical school with the hope of eventually becoming a surgeon.
