Class of 2024
Majors in Theater Studies and Biology

I am a junior from Jupiter, Florida, majoring in Theater Studies and Biology. My passion for theater started my first year of high school, after my English teacher convinced me to audition for the fall musical. Since then, I have explored many aspects of theater, including acting, directing, and playwriting. Outside of class, I am involved with Hoof 'n' Horn, where most recently I directed the organization's production of Into the Woods. Along with becoming a physician, I see myself continuing to act and be involved with theater one way or another. I find that my experience with the Theater major has allowed me to grow in important skills I will need as a physician, including teamwork, effective communication, and open-mindedness. Treating patients relies on more than just strict science, it also relies on a doctor's ability to see their patients more holistically as individuals with unique stories and emotions. Majoring in Theater is a great way to give yourself the opportunity to connect with yourself and others on a deeper level, a skill set that is needed in all walks of life. I am grateful to have found theater as passion, and I can't wait for what's in store!
