Class of 2024
Major in International Comparative Studies; Minor in Political Science; Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship
I’m a senior from Seoul, Korea majoring in International Comparative Studies (ICS) with a Political Science minor and Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) certificate. I’m a Vice President of the Business Oriented Women (BOW) Social Impact committee and one of the co-Vice Presidents of Duke UNICEF’s Durham Affairs Committee. To me, these academic concentrations and extracurriculars come together to support my passion for inclusive and sustainable international development. This summer, I explored this passion even further as a Strategy Intern at Counterpart International, a DC-based nonprofit facilitating locally-led foreign aid projects. In my free time, I enjoy cooking for my friends, playing flute, and bouldering.
Favorite Class: My favorite class was I&E 390S Innovating for Social Impact with Professor Danielle (Dani) Zapotoczny. This class not only solidified my interest in the intersection of social impact and business in international development but also allowed me to form a tight-knit community with like-minded individuals.
