The June 17, 2015 killing of nine members of a Bible study group at the oldest African Methodist Episcopal Church in the South, “Mother Emanuel” of Charleston, South Carolina, launched a national conversation on faith and race. Members of the Duke community and the general public are invited to join the dialogue at Reflections on Charleston. This FREE event is part of the John Hope Franklin Afro-Diasporic Legacies Series at the Franklin Humanities Institute, Duke University.
