Interdepartmental Major in Computer Science and Linguistics

Hi guys, my name is Ernesto Hernandez and I am originally from McAllen, Texas, a small border town in South Texas. At Duke, I'm mainly involved in SHAPE and OLLI, two great communities focused on helping the Duke community grow through discourse. Aside from those organizations, I spend most of my free time reading or hanging out with friends, and I am deeply interested in sociolinguistics and Spanish literature.

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke was Ling 101 because it changed the way I view language and introduced me to a wonderful subject.
