Majors in History and Art History: Museum Theory & Practice

I am a junior studying History and Art History with a concentration in Museum Theory & Practice. I love studying the past, its stories, and the remnants we have of it, whether that be in the archives or in museum collections. I work as a research assistant on the "World-Building at Duke in an Emerging Durham: 1924-1932" Bass Connections project, while also working as a circulation assistant at the Goodson Law Library. This past summer, I followed my love of the past all the way to Canton, Ohio, where I worked in the archives at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Outside of class, I play viola and serve on the Executive Committee of the Duke Symphony Orchestra.

Favorite Class: My favorite class was The Museum Object with Dr. Julia McHugh! It was my first introduction to the museum world and is the class that inspired me to major in Art History with the Museum Theory & Practice concentration.
