Class of 2026
Majors in International Comparative Studies and Psychology; Certificate in Child Policy Research

Hi! My name is Ellie Armstrong (she/her), and I am from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. This fall, I am studying abroad in Buenos Aires, but at Duke, I am a tour guide, team leader at the early childhood education organization Jumpstart, and co-Editor-in-Chief of Borderless, Duke's premier international relations magazine. I have participated in numerous campus fellowships that have expanded my understanding of leadership and activism, including the Penny Pilgrim George Women's Leadership Initiative, Global Fellows, and Full Frame Documentary Film Fellows. I have internship experience in refugee resettlement and child policy and advocacy. I love to bake, collect vinyl records, try new foods, and meet new people!

Favorite Class: My favorite class has been LATAMER 341S Perspectives on the Amazon. Professor Gustavo led insightful discussions and brought passion to every lecture.
