Class of 2026
Major in Mathematics
I’m a rising junior studying mathematics and I currently lead Duke’s chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics. Outside of the classroom, I conduct research with the Duke Quantum Center, leveraging mathematical modeling techniques to understand how different errors can impact laser calibration during ion trapping. I love to read — mystery novels, autobiographies, and theoretical physics books in particular — and also enjoy running, spending time with friends, and trying new restaurants. I interned in Finance this past summer and will be spending next summer in the same industry, with an internship in Equity Derivatives Trading.
Favorite Class: I loved Real Analysis (Math 431) and Probability (Math 230)! I was fascinated by the content in both of these classes and also enjoyed the hands-on method of learning, where we spent a lot of class time working through problems together.
