Hi! My name is Lilah Gorfain, and I'm from New York City. I'm a double major in Theater Studies and English (and hoping to also get a minor in Italian). At Duke, I've acted in Theater Studies departmental productions and New Works projects as well as student-led theater with Duke Players. Aside from theater, I'm a sports writer for The Chronicle! As an English major, I unsurprisingly love to read and will welcome any unsolicited book recommendations that come my way.

Favorite Class: My favorite class at Duke has to be Dramatic Writing with Neal Bell. I loved the workshop style of the class—it was definitely a first to hear my writing read out loud, but it helped me grow immensely. Neal's weekly prompts always sparked interesting work from everyone, and I can't recommend his class enough!
