Class of 2026
Major in Biology; Minors in Chemistry and French

My name is Sydney, and I am from Toronto, Canada. At Duke, I am a teaching assistant for calculus, a member of the Duke Association for Business Oriented Women, and a Blue Devil Buddy mentor. This past summer, I worked in a molecular biology lab studying the factors influencing brain tumor emergence. In my free time, I love to run, do spin classes, spend time with friends, and go for long walks around campus.

Favorite Class: I&E 252 (Learning to Fail) - I took this class my first semester at Duke which I found to be really helpful during a time when I was starting a new chapter away from home. We completed failure challenges each week where the professor gave us a seemingly impossible task to complete during class. The following class we would go over the challenge and make real world applications.
