Class of 2026
Majors in Psychology and Sociology; Certificate in Child Policy Studies
On campus, I am involved with the Psychology Majors Union, Duke Debate, and The Chronicle. I also do research at the Early Childhood Cognition Lab and serve on the student advisory board for the Office of Undergraduate Students and Fellows. Besides school, I love going to theatre productions, watching films, having picnics with friends in the Gardens, and going on long walks. Long-term, I hope to pursue a career in applied academia.
Favorite Class: I feel so fortunate to say I have so many! Here are my top three: Child Policy Research (with Dr. Megan Golonka) helped me identify my academic niche and consider how I could integrate the themes I was fascinated by in a diversity of methods; Empirical Methods for Social Progress (with Dr Lisa Gennetian) was an incredible introduction to thinking quantitatively, computationally, and experimentally about the social sciences, and War and Public Health in Africa (with Dr. Stephen Smith) was an excellent class that pushed me to think about micro-level impacts of public policy and population dynamics.
