Class of 2027
Major in Art History & Visual Arts, Minor in Computational Media

I’m studying Art History & Visual Arts with a focus on contemporary and digital art. As an artist, I believe in the healing and transformative power of art. At Duke, I developed a growing interest in the intersection of art and technology through courses on generative art and the Brain Portal Bass Connections project, where I developed augmented reality experiences. I was awarded the Benenson Award in the Arts to support my exploration of ceramics, drawing, and digital media. This fall, I’ll be in New York, interning at a gallery and practicing détournement in the metropolis.

Favorite Class: My favorite class so far has been my first-year FOCUS seminar Knowing through Performance. The idea that everything is performance is mind-blowing and expands my understanding of the boundaries of art. I also created my first performance art piece in this class!
