Major in Psychology; Minors in Neuroscience and Education (Elementary Teacher Preparation Program K-6)

I am pursuing a path in psychology and in education! I am part of the Elementary Teacher Preparation Program for grades K-6 which will allow me to receive my teacher’s license when I graduate. At Duke, I’m involved in a few different things including running, service clubs, and outdoors clubs. I actually spent the summer of 2024 in a Duke Engage program in Kaihura, Uganda! I was able to help teach at a local primary school in Kaihura and make meaningful connections with locals. Aside from these interests, I really just love spending time on Duke’s campus with friends, and I especially love Duke basketball!

Favorite Class: Education 101 has been my favorite class at Duke because aside from having open discussions about the challenges in the U.S. education system, part of the course is service-learning, so I was able to go to a public elementary school in Durham once a week and engage/help out which was so much fun!
