Major in Music with a concentration in piano performance; Minor in Psychology
I am Vicky and I grew up in Shanghai, China. I major in music at Duke, hoping to continue studying piano after graduation and have a career in music. I enjoy tutoring piano through Musical Empowerment Club at Duke. During summer, I always travel to different music festivals to study and perform. Outside of music, I love studying German and psychology, as well as hiking.
Favorite Class: My favorite class was Language Development taught by Elika Bergelson. It was a graduate-level class and at first I was not sure I would survive it. But I tried my best to comprehend all the readings and participate in discussions actively, and eventually learning so much about infants’ toddlers’ and children’s language development. It was a very rewarding experience.
